A WEEK IN
SCOTLAND
At the heart of this retreat is painting.
Each day we’ll spend our mornings and early afternoons gathered around our easels, painting together, learning together, and encouraging one another along the way. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, Jennifer will be there to answer questions, offer guidance, and help you build confidence with every paint stroke.
In the late afternoons, we’ll step away from the easel to experience some of Scotland’s most memorable destinations—from magnificent castles and dramatic coastlines to Scotland’s famous Highland cows.
It’s the perfect balance of creativity, adventure, friendship, and relaxation—all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Scotland.
What Will We Do Each Day?
Day 1: Welcome to Scotland
Arrive at beautiful Kinblethmont Estate and settle into your room. Meet your fellow Dabblers, explore the grounds, and enjoy your first meal prepared by Chef Sean.
We’ll gather that evening to get acquainted, share a few laughs, and kick off an unforgettable week together.
Day 2: Scotland-Inspired Group Painting & Glamis Castle
Today we’ll begin our Scotland-inspired group painting.
One of the best parts of a retreat is that there’s no pressure to keep up. Jennifer is right there with you, guiding every step, answering questions, and helping whenever you need it.
Later in the afternoon, we’ll visit magnificent Glamis Castle, explore its beautiful grounds, and enjoy a traditional afternoon tea together.
Day 3 – Scotland-Inspired Group Painting & Dunnottar Castle
We’ll continue our Scotland-inspired painting, taking our time and enjoying the process together.
In the late afternoon, we’ll visit the breathtaking ruins of Dunnottar Castle. Perched high above the North Sea, this iconic landmark offers dramatic views and unforgettable Scottish scenery.
Day 4 – Your Personal Painting Project & Highland Cows
Today the canvas becomes your own.
Whether you’re painting a favorite photograph, flowers, wildlife, a beloved pet, or a special memory, Jennifer will work alongside you, offering personalized guidance throughout the day.
In the late afternoon, we’ll head out to meet Scotland’s famous Highland cows—an experience that’s always a favorite.
Day 5 – Your Personal Painting Project
Continue working on your personal painting while enjoying plenty of one-on-one instruction and encouragement from Jennifer.
Spend a relaxing afternoon at Kinblethmont Estate, soaking in the beauty of the Scottish countryside before gathering for a special farewell dinner prepared by Chef Sean.
Day 6 – Farewells & Safe Travels
We’ll enjoy one final breakfast together before saying our goodbyes and beginning our journeys home.
You’ll leave with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and two paintings that will forever remind you of your week in Scotland.
By the end of our six days together, you'll have two stunning, one-of-a-kind paintings to treasure—artwork worthy of a collector's wall! More than that, you'll gain the confidence and skills to keep creating long after the retreat ends.

You won’t have to worry about trying to get it through airport checkpoints or into the overhead compartments (Ah! Can you imagine! How awful!)
You’ll fly home with peace of mind knowing your paintings will arrive safe and sound in just a couple of days!
