Scotland Retreat Experience
Join us for an unforgettable week of painting, friendship, breathtaking scenery, and authentic Scottish charm as we gather together at beautiful Argyll House in the heart of western Scotland.
Nestled among rolling hills, historic landscapes, and some of Scotland’s most beautiful countryside, Argyll House will be our home for the week. This elegant estate offers the perfect setting to relax, create, and immerse yourself in the beauty of Scotland.
Limited to just 10 Dabblers, this intimate retreat is designed to provide plenty of personal attention, meaningful connections, and the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the experience at a comfortable pace.
Throughout our stay, we’ll enjoy delicious Scottish-inspired meals prepared by our private chef, Chef Sean. From hearty breakfasts to memorable dinners shared around the table, each meal will be thoughtfully crafted using local ingredients and Scottish influences whenever possible.
Chef Sean has a gift for bringing people together through food, and mealtimes often become some of the most memorable moments of the retreat—filled with laughter, stories, and new friendships. With Chef Sean taking care of the cooking, you’ll be free to focus on painting, exploring Scotland, and simply enjoying the experience.
Our Painting Experience
Our first painting of the week will be a special Scotland-inspired group painting. Jennifer will guide everyone through the same step-by-step process, helping you create a beautiful landscape inspired by the scenery, colors, and atmosphere of Scotland. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, you’ll leave with a finished painting you’ll be proud to display at home.
For your second painting, the canvas becomes your own.
You may choose anything you’d like to paint during the retreat. Perhaps it’s a photo you’ve been saving on your phone, a favorite vacation memory, a landscape, flowers, wildlife, a beloved pet, or a scene you’ve always wanted to tackle but weren’t sure where to begin.
Jennifer will work with you individually throughout the week, offering guidance, demonstrations, suggestions, and encouragement tailored specifically to your project. This personalized coaching allows you to paint something meaningful to you while receiving one-on-one support every step of the way.
Many Dabblers tell us this becomes one of their favorite parts of the retreat because they finally have dedicated time, personal instruction, and the confidence to bring a special painting idea to life.
This combination of a guided Scotland painting and a completely personalized painting creates the perfect balance of learning, creativity, and artistic freedom.

Inveraray Castle
Step inside one of Scotland’s most breathtaking castles and experience a place that feels straight out of a storybook.
Nestled along the shores of Loch Fyne, Inveraray Castle has been home to the Dukes of Argyll for generations. We’ll explore the castle’s grand rooms, wander through the beautiful grounds, and enjoy time strolling through the charming village of Inveraray.
With its stunning architecture, lush gardens, and sweeping views of the Scottish Highlands, this is the Scotland many of us have always dreamed of seeing.

Kilmartin Glen
Travel back thousands of years as we explore one of the most fascinating historic landscapes in Scotland.
Kilmartin Glen is home to an extraordinary collection of ancient standing stones, stone circles, and burial cairns that date back over 5,000 years. Surrounded by rolling green hills, grazing sheep, and peaceful countryside, this special place offers a glimpse into Scotland’s distant past.
It’s a quiet and awe-inspiring landscape that feels untouched by time and provides endless inspiration for artists and photographers alike.

Highland Cow Experience
No trip to Scotland would be complete without meeting the country’s most beloved residents—the famous Highland cows.
Known for their shaggy coats, flowing hair, long horns, and gentle personalities, Highland cows have become one of Scotland’s most recognizable symbols. During our visit, we’ll have the opportunity to get up close, take photos, and enjoy a fun and memorable Scottish experience together.
Don’t be surprised if this becomes one of your favorite moments of the entire retreat.

The Perfect Balance
Our Scotland Retreat is intentionally designed to combine creativity, adventure, relaxation, and connection.
Each morning we’ll gather around our easels to paint together. Afternoons will be spent exploring castles, ancient landscapes, and iconic Scottish experiences. Evenings will bring us back together around Chef Sean’s wonderful meals, great conversation, and the friendships that naturally form when creative people share a memorable week together.
You’ll leave Scotland with more than just two beautiful paintings.
